LOOKING AFTER JEREMY VINE’S HAT!

‘Can you look after my hat, oh and my phone whilst I do this intro?’ – Jeremy Vine

WESTLIFE PERFORMING AT BBC RADIO2'S FESTIVAL IN A DAY AT HYDE PARK LONDON

Just as he was about to introduce Status Quo, he comes up to me and asks if I’ll watch his stuff, I guess I must look like an honest sort of bloke! Not that I had much to do at the time other than running timecode checks with the playback Tech.

Anyway, a brief couple of days in the rehearsal studio with the band to trim, edit and re-program the content on the Resolume Arena 7 media server and having to squeeze seven songs into a half hour slot, meant trimming the instrumental intros and outtros of the chosen songs.

Once trimmed, we had to edit the files with some nice fade to blacks, then reprogram the Media Server.

On site at Hyde park, tipped the truck at 3pm, setup, looked after Jezza’s hat, Westlife on stage at 7.15pm, offstage at 7.50pm, laptops and gear back on the truck by 8.10pm, back to Leicestershire in time for last orders at the pub.
